The “Amplify!” project from 2018 features photographic images of students and recent graduates from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) who voted for the first time in the election of 2018 or will be voting in 2020. It also includes excerpts from conversations with students about their views on voting, why their voice matters, and their visions for the future.

This website includes a variety of information and materials: the official portraits, the community photo campaign, and additional resources for students and others to use as they research various issues we identified as important. Visitors to the site can also find resources to become engaged in those issues, to volunteer, and to extend the community conversation.

We asked members of our community to participate in our project by answering the prompt "My voice matters because..."

Here are their voices.
